Dempsey rose to fame as lead singer, guitarist and principal lyricist of rock group, Something for Kate, who racked up double figures for ARIA Awards nominations, won Triple J’s Album of the Year and had multiple top ten albums.
Following the release of his eclectic yet incisive second solo album ‘Strange Loop’, Something for Kate front man, Paul Dempsey is taking it on the road to select regional centres and Cairns, we made the grade.
His second solo album is confirmation that Dempsey can alternate between the beautifully rigorous noise he makes with Something For Kate and his own diverse solo career.
