Catch Diary of a Wombat from Wednesday 30 August - Friday 01 September. Based on the book by Jackie French and Bruce Whatley, Diary of a Wombat is a fantastic play children everywhere will love.
Doormats, bins and washing lines are no match for this mischievous marsupial.
Meet Mothball, the naughtiest wombat in Australia. Bored with her daily routine, Mothball goes in search of shelter and food, creating chaos in the lives of the humans around her.
Between a packed schedule of scratching, sleeping and eating Mothball discovers that with a bit of persistence, humans are quite easily trained!
Millions of young people around the world have adored the multi award-winning picture book, Diary of a Wombat. Now finally this iconic work by Australian Children’s Laureate, Jackie French and Bruce Whatley comes to the stage.
Monkey Baa uses the magic of puppetry and live music to bring this delightful story for ages 3+ to the stage.
Catch Diary of a Wombat at Tanks Arts Centre from August 30 – September 1. Our Cheap Accommodation in Cairns is just minutes away from Tanks Arts Centre.
Choose from our fully furnished rooms. Enjoy our studio room with kitchenette, large studio room, and studio room with kitchenette (handicap friendly). Our large and comfortable studio apartment with kitchenette features microwave and a slimline fridge/freezer, two burner hot plate, (some have an oven), electric frying pan, toaster, electric kettle, crockery, cutlery and pots, pans & cooking utensils, free WiFi access, an ensuite bathroom, a 32 inch flatscreen TV, ceiling fans with airconditioning and a private balcony.
